Support the Johnsons in Another Adoption Journey

Friends and family,

It seems like it's been forever since I was on here talking about our hopes of adopting another child, and yet here we are again. Just a few sleeps, and God's great blessing in our home is already 9 months old and demanding opportunities to make us laugh. And we laugh. And offer gentle sighs of delight. Our children have awakened in us capacities for service and love you can only discover within yourself when God puts little ones in your arms for the first time. They are composed of pure light, just like their momma.

There's a line in the Caedmon's Call song, "Love Keeps Growing More Love" that goes like this:

Our vows they started breathing

And they took on flesh and blood

And we held them in our arms

And tasted God was good

You probably understood that at a first read-through, if you're a parent. Our explosive love collides with our spouses', and left behind in the crater is a cradle; an incarnation of that same delight you have in one another that demands there be innocent and welcome participants. What a wonderful mystery. And in the Johnson household, it's time for another.

We are hoping to raise the full estimated price of the adoption from start to finish. Including all the labwork, medication, therapy, visits to the clinic, and the actual transfer of the embryo, we estimate that this will come to $9,500. The further cost for birth and doula will be covered by our medishare program. With the current timeline, we anticipate receiving the new baby at the end of February or early March. We invite you, our beloved friends and family, to take part in the rescuing of yet another orphan, a biological sibling of our two sweet boys, and the latest arrow to be prepared to be fired from the Lord's bow.
