Support the Jimmersons

Hello - Cara's sis here! As you may have heard (or seen on Facebook), Cara and Logan's precious baby boy, Levi Thomas, was welcomed into the world on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023!

At 4lb 6oz, Little Levi Thomas is pure perfection, but his little body isn't quite knowing how to handle the big open world, so he is spending time in the NICU while the doctors work on stabilizing his blood sugars. Your prayers are felt and are very appreciated. Continue lifting this family up to our Heavenly Father.

Many have been asking how they can help. Because it's difficult to organize and put things into action with so many moving parts, the most help is going to be with the accumulating unexpected costs and also with meals. I will be setting up a meal train separately for those who can help nourish the family.

You might be surprised to learn that the hospital doesn't offer meals for parents of NICU babies, nor have they been able to offer Cara postpartum support since she delivered with her incredible midwife. She has been recovering in the firm chair aside Levi's bed -- of course with zero complaints, just praising the Lord for the precious miracle in front of her. It probably felt like an eternity, but with the effort of a number of folks, Cara was finally able to have a meal, some ibuprofen, and some clean clothes SIX hours after giving birth.

Being away from one another, each member of the Jimmerson family has their own struggles and needs. They have graciously accepted my help in setting up this page so that everyone can have their individual needs met. My wish is for Cara to get anything she needs to be comfortable during her own recovery, including all the nourishment a mama needs postpartum and for feeding her baby. We also want Cara and Logan to be able to go back and forth between home and CDA as much as they need in order to be together, with the older boys, Tytus and Micah, and to get rest at home whenever they need.
