My name is Rachel, and I am honored to represent Basic Ballroom as both a student and teacher, where I train professionally and have grown alongside the community I am proud to call home. I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my coach and his vision for The Jayden Foundation.

Sometimes, the most meaningful connections are created without words.

For decades, our studio has been a place where generations of children have learned to dance. But more importantly, it has been a place where children have learned to believe in themselves, overcome challenges, build friendships, and become the people they are meant to be.
At the center of that community is a teacher, mentor, and father figure who has devoted his life to his students. He has watched generations of young dancers grow, celebrating their victories, standing beside them through their struggles, and giving them a place where they always felt they belonged.
But his most personal journey began with his own son, Jayden.
Jayden is a young boy with autism, and for his father, finding a way to truly communicate with him was not always easy. There were moments when words could not express what they both wanted to say or understand.
Eventually his father decided to communicate with him the only way he truly knew how, ballroom dancing. They discovered that connection does not always have to come through conversation. Sometimes it can happen through a rhythm, a movement, a gesture, or simply sharing the same music.
Dance became their language.
That experience planted a profound belief: if movement could become a bridge between a father and his son, perhaps it could build bridges for countless others who struggle to connect and communicate.
That belief became The Jayden Foundation.

The Jayden Foundation was created with a simple but powerful vision: to make the transformative experience of movement and dance accessible to individuals with diverse abilities, regardless of their circumstances.

Our goal is to provide dance-inspired movement classes completely free of charge in an environment where every person is welcomed, respected, and given the opportunity to grow at their own pace. Through individualized activities and movement, participants will have opportunities to develop coordination, mobility, strength, balance, physical well-being, self-expression, and confidence.
But our purpose reaches far beyond physical movement.
We want to create a place where someone who may struggle to communicate can find another way to express themselves. A place where someone who has been told what they cannot do can discover what they can do. A place where families can see their loved ones experience joy, confidence, independence, and a genuine sense of belonging. Because everyone deserves to feel that they have a place in the world. And everyone deserves the opportunity to be seen for their abilities—not defined by their limitations.

Help Us Open the Doors

We are now taking the first steps toward bringing The Jayden Foundation to life. To begin offering these programs at no cost to families, we need the support of our community.
Your donation will help provide the equipment, educational resources, program materials, and essential resources needed to establish the foundation and begin serving participants.
Every contribution brings us closer to creating a space where music becomes a source of connection, movement becomes a source of possibility, and dance becomes a doorway into a world where everyone belongs.
You do not have to be a dancer to be part of this.
You simply have to believe that every person deserves an opportunity.
A donation can help us take the first step.
And perhaps, for someone who has spent their life struggling to find their voice, that first step will become the beginning of an entirely new language.
A language of movement.
A language of confidence.
A language of connection.
A language of belonging.

Please consider supporting The Jayden Foundation. Your generosity will help us share with others the gift that began with one father and his son—the realization that sometimes, when words are not enough, dance can say everything.
