Then There Were Four: A Hope to Adopt
I am reaching out to our community with a humble request for prayer and support in helping four beautiful siblings find permanent security within a loving and close-knit family. These children are deeply loved and already an integral part of our lives. What they deserve now is the peace of knowing they will never be separated and can grow up together as part of a permanent, legal family.

Although the children currently live in two households, they share strong bonds and spend a lot of time together, including birthdays, holidays, and special moments. The Ingram and Harris families have fought tirelessly to keep them united, ensuring that their sisterly connection as families—Ashlee and Brad Ingram and Melanie and Brandon Harris (Ashlee and Melanie are sisters)—remains at the heart of this journey. As the grandmother of two of these children, I have witnessed firsthand the love that binds these families and their unwavering dedication to raising these four children together.

Their story began with a call from Child Protective Services (CPS) on the night of January 31, 2023. The Ingrams were asked to come immediately to the hospital, where they learned that Bentley, just 22 months old, had been admitted for a Benadryl overdose. By God’s grace, Bentley survived and celebrated his second birthday that March. Following CPS involvement and a court process, the Ingrams obtained custody of Bentley. During this time, Bentley’s biological mother informed them she was pregnant with triplets.
The triplets—Aubrey, Walker, and Waylon—were born prematurely on November 29, 2023, and faced early health challenges in the NICU. Each overcame serious complications to finally come home safely. However, months later, CPS lost contact with the children’s biological mother, who frequently moved and struggled with financial instability. In May 2024, both the Ingram and Harris families received a call alerting them to the children’s situation and immediately stepped in to bring them to safety. Custody was granted through the courts, preventing further CPS intervention.

Since then, the children’s biological mother has not completed any court-mandated requirements or maintained contact and financial support. The Ingrams have cared for Bentley and Aubrey since they were infants, and the Harris family has provided for Waylon and Walker. The love and bond among these children—and their two families—are undeniable.

Now, both families are seeking to adopt the children with the biological mother’s consent, giving them the stability and lifelong security every child deserves. Unlike foster-to-adopt cases, this process receives no government or social services support, leaving the families responsible for all legal and travel expenses.

Between attorney fees, court costs, and ongoing medical care, the financial burden has become overwhelming. Two children have been diagnosed with asthma, and appointments for developmental and behavioral evaluations continue. The triplets receive multiple therapies, including speech, occupational, and physical therapy, with one child relying on a speech device for communication. Despite these challenges, both families remain committed to giving these children the best care possible.

I am asking for your help—every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward the adoption costs, travel expenses, and ongoing medical and developmental care for the children. Your support will help make it possible for these four siblings to stay together, thrive, and grow up in the loving homes they already call family.

Your generosity and prayers mean more than words can express. Together, we can give Bentley, Aubrey, Walker, and Waylon the stable future they so deeply deserve.

With gratitude,
Angie Ingram
