Support the Howards' Adoption Journey
Donation protected
The Howards are adopting and we are over the moon about it! A little back story: I (Brailey) have always known I would adopt at some point in time. It was placed on my heart at such a young age and never left me. Fast forward to when I met Tom, I asked him if he would be okay with adoption because that was something I was passionate about. Tom, the king he is, said absolutely. Unfortunately Tom and I have been struggling with unexplained infertility. Weirdly, I had a feeling we would even though both of us are healthy. It’s been 2 years since we started trying and we feel as though God is calling us to start the process of adoption.
Tom and I spoke with several other families who have adopted and they all said the same thing: it’s a hard process and will break your heart, but it’s so worth it . Of course a big concern of ours is the financial part of it all. We always knew it would be a lot, but we were still shocked at the estimates we were given. On average, adoption can cost anywhere between 45-65k. You read that right. We have learned this includes a home study, agencies, lawyers, social workers, an expectant mother’s living expenses and medical costs, and so on.
Our hope is that God will provide everything we need to bring our child home, and we truly believe it will happen for us. If you cannot donate that is OKAY! We would love any uplifting messages and prayers as we begin this journey. Thank you to everyone who has already reached out to us and covered us with prayer.
After learning more about the process and learning of others’ experiences, we are ready to pursue a home study as our next step. As we continue with our journey we will post updates on our progress!
ALSO, if we exceed our goal, and we have more than enough to adopt, any left over funds will be donated to a family who is is in need for their own adoption process.
We love you all,
Tom and Brailey Howard
