Support the Horton Family After a Tragic House Fire

Monday, September 9th was just an average evening. After celebrating Alex's birthday and Axel's first day of kindergarten, they were enjoying each other's company and about to start dinner. They soon found that the majority of their back porch and the back of the house was on fire. At the time, they both quickly attempted to fight it but soon realized there was no time. Alex grabbed Axel and booked it out the door, and thankfully, she made it out shortly after. By this time, roughly 30 to 45 seconds, thick black smoke had filled the house, and they watched as everything they owned, everything they built in their 12 years together, was going up in flames. They had no shoes on and didn’t have time to grab anything but their phones, which luckily were in their pockets.

Alex and Rachele have hearts of gold and go out of their way to help people. Not only did they lose their home, but they also lost their business, which they run out of their home as a daycare. They are currently in a hotel trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for their 5-year-old son Axel, who just started kindergarten that very day. They are outstanding humans who are trying to remain calm as they wade through paperwork and all that comes with a total loss of their home and possessions.

The main goal of this GoFundMe will be used to reopen their daycare as well as purchase clothes, pay for bills, buy food, and anything else that they need to rebuild and purchase the physical things in their lives that were destroyed. It is at Rachele and Alex’s discretion how funds will be used to best help.
