Support The Hope Closet: Secure Our Future

Donation protected
The Hope Closet collects essential items donated by the community and distributes them with love and purpose to individuals and families in need. Through the process of collecting from and connecting with members of our community, The Hope Closet strives to foster a culture of service, address the needs of those facing hardship, and provide family-friendly volunteer opportunities for all ages. Our goal is to strengthen the well-being of our community by making a positive impact on the lives of others.

In the past year, The Hope Closet has provided support for over 300 people in over 50 Section 8 apartments in southern Wake County (including fully furnishing over 15 apartments and 3 entire houses for families who had nothing due to fire, homelessness, or domestic violence). For those we have served, we have provided clothing, beds, furniture, clean towels, linens, household supplies, cleaning products, food, baby items, kitchenware, Bibles, Easter baskets, and Christmas gifts for children. We have hugged, laughed, cried, and prayed with many of those families. We have been a resource for the Red Cross, recognized by the Fuquay-Varina Jr. Women’s Club, featured in Today in the ‘Quay, and nominated by Wake County Health and Human Services for the 2025 Mayor Frank Eagles Award for Outstanding Community Service.

We differ a little from some of the other wonderful local charities. We are not a place to shop. Instead, we meet people where they are, in both location and life. We try to intentionally connect with families, understand their needs, and deliver items directly to them when lack of transportation is a factor. We value the items we gift, not just as things that will meet a physical need, but as a conversation, a smile, a hug, a prayer, and a way to connect with someone in our community who is struggling and may need that connection just as much, if not more, than the item itself.

Now, we ask our community to help us keep our mission going. The Hope Closet cannot survive the next year without a physical space to store donations. The funds collected here will be used to secure the current Hope Closet location in downtown Fuquay-Varina throughout 2026 and, God-willing, position us for a possible expansion to a larger facility in the future. 100% of ALL funds raised will go to providing support for the homeless, elderly, and economically disadvantaged families and children we serve.

We believe we rise by lifting others. Please consider donating to this fundraiser so we can continue our mission to strengthen our community by lifting our neighbors.
