I’m now home from a 17-day stay in the hospital after having my sixth spinal surgery, the second one of this year. I am sitting across from my astounding wife as she searches for Christmas speeches for the children. Our children are 18, 6, and 3-year-old twins, and our niece/daughter is also 3. It has been twenty years, two months, and counting since I was injured on that job. Doctors kept telling me that I was young and that I’d be okay. I’m not okay so I ask for your prayers, financial assistance, and sharing my posts and videos.
During my recent hospital stay, we nearly had our only vehicle repossessed. I was in the hospital seeking emergency housing because I didn’t know how to pay the rent. The water was turned off, and our storage with winter clothes was locked due to non-payment. My wife dealt with all of this alone. She has been an AMAZING sole provider for the family for more than three years since I’ve been unable to work.
I don’t know if the constant spinal pain will ever cease. I’m asking you to help lighten this heavy burden on my wife’s back. She home-schools and nurses me back to health after each surgery as workman comp provides more headaches than help. Doctors are preparing for further surgeries as my spine is riddled with severe stenosis. Surgeons even say paralysis is a possibility. Still, the disability board denies that I am disabled.
Please help my family in any way that you can. If all you have is a prayer, then to God be the glory, and if you have more, still add a prayer. Please share this letter with families, friends, neighbors, foundations, contractors, church bodies, philanthropists, organizations, businesses, personalities, etc.
