I am writing this on behalf of my sister, Cheran, and her family who have been serving in Jamaica the past 3 years at Robin's Nest Children's Home. This is the update she asked me to share.

"Right now, it’s hard to determine the full scope of need in Jamaica—there are still so many moving parts. The time frame is also too short to gather a lot of supplies before my scheduled return on November 9th, but I do plan to bring some essentials that I believe will be helpful. Communication remains limited, and contact has yet to be made with many who were in the direct path of the storm.

Since we currently live in Jamaica, I would love to raise some separate funds so that we can directly help our dedicated staff members, community members, or anyone God places in our path to restore their property while also ensuring their basic needs are met. The reality is that so many will need so much—and this feels like the least we can do while we wait for things to settle enough to begin scheduling teams again to help with on the ground efforts."
