Our friend Casey Heck’s life changed in an instant on May 3rd.
While doing routine maintenance at work, Casey suffered a devastating accident that caused him to lose vision in his eye indefinitely. What started as a normal workday quickly turned into a life-altering moment, and now he and his family are facing so many unknowns.
Casey isn’t just a coworker—he’s a genuinely good person and a friend to so many. He’s the kind of guy who shows up, works hard, and takes care of the people around him. Seeing him go through something like this is incredibly difficult, and we want to rally around him the way he would for others.
My husband works closely with Casey and said, “He’s one of those people you can always count on—no matter what. He never complains, just shows up and does the job right, and he’s always looking out for everyone else.” That’s who Casey is.
At home, his wife Alexis is doing everything she can to hold things together. She’s an amazing mom to their two kids and is currently pregnant with their third. Their family has always been full of love, and right now they’re being asked to carry a really heavy load.
With Casey’s injury impacting his ability to work and no clear timeline for what comes next, the financial stress is very real. We’re asking for help to support them through this transition—covering medical expenses, everyday needs, and giving them a little stability during an incredibly uncertain time.
If you would prefer to donate outside of GoFundMe, contributions through Venmo are also greatly appreciated to Alexis, @lexis-lou.
If you’re not in a position to give, sharing this fundraiser means just as much. We truly believe in the power of community, and any support—big or small—will make a difference for this family.
Thank you for showing up for Casey, Alexis, and their sweet kids.
