Support the Hasselquist Family

This is a fund in memoriam of Dr. Niles Hasselquist, and in support of his family.

Niles passed away January 8th, 2021 after a brief and sudden battle against a fast-moving cancer.  This sudden loss to their family was after less than seven months of illness. He was  a young man with a young family. 

His wife Dr. Eliza Maher Hasselquist continues to raise two young children, 8 and 4 years old. Eliza has shown incredible strength and will continue raising these kids as the two of them had planned together - Skiing, hiking, and finding adventure around every turn.

All funds donated here will go to support Eliza Maher Hasselquist and the two young children they are raising. 

Eliza's words to her family, friends and collegues are below:

It is with the saddest of hearts that I have to tell you that Niles Hasselquist
passed away on Friday morning, surrounded by the people who loved him most.

He had stomach cancer and had had eight rounds of chemotherapy. He was fighting a bacterial infection over Christmas that came back over New Years and it went septic. He was with us until the end and even played a round of cards with the family on his last night and was the champion!

We miss him terribly and hope to organize a virtual memorial at the end of January for his friends far and wide to remember him.
