Hi everyone,

My name is Peggy, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times my family has faced. My Papa was recently injured while in the care of a nursing home, and what followed has turned our lives upside down.

Due to negligence and a lack of proper care — both from the nursing home and Kaiser Roseville — Papa suffered injuries that now require round-the-clock support. My mother stepped in to care for him as best she could, but the physical toll has been devastating. She now urgently needs a knee replacement, but the medical system has been painfully slow in providing the surgery she needs.

In the meantime, I had to stop working so I could step in and care for both of them. As many of you know, caregiving is a full-time job — but one that comes without a paycheck. With my income gone and mounting medical costs, our family is under an enormous financial burden. This has put a strain on my mother, myself and my children who are now witnessing the stressful situations we are facing in our household.

We are doing everything we can to hold things together, but we need help.
