On November 8th, 2025, Ron, Elaine & Lea’s lives were turned upside down when a fire broke out in their family home in Southey, SK.

Elaine has been a selfless caregiver to both her husband, Ron Gerock, who is dealing with complications due to a stroke, and her daughter, Lea, who has Down Syndrome. They have been a potent part of the Southey community for over 27 years — with their home being a staple for friends and family to gather and spend time with one another.

Due to the severity of the fire, their home, along with everything they own, are gone.

This GoFundMe was created to directly support Elaine, Ron and Lea — as they begin rebuilding their lives.
