Support the Gallaway's Journey to Adopt Their Son

Hello Everyone!

Incase you don't already know us, we're the Gallaway's!

If you've followed our life's story very long you'll know we've grown our family through adoption since 2013 with the successful placements of our two beautiful daughters Finley & Quinn.

You might also know that we've also had our hearts broken 3 times when we were matched each times with boys and in the end those children never made it to us.

We recently relocated to North Carolina in December to start a new path as Pastors of a church in North Durham.

When we left Florida we'd made peace with all that had happened and began truly accepting that despite our best efforts our family was finished growing.

So we thought.

This past Friday we were contacted personally by a family in Florida who were looking for a couple who might be open to the placement of their son who had just been born the day before. Keep in mind, we had not been working with an agency. We had no plans to pursue another adoption. Not because I didn't want to grow our family, but because I (Sharon) didnt think my heart could take one more loss.

And yet they contacted us specifically. This mother loved (still loves) her son so much, and because of that selflessness and strength, she wanted more for him than she felt she could give. So after seeking professional counsel and prayer, we partnered with an agency and we responded with a joyful yes!

Paperwork was completed days later, and as of Sunday the 25th we are officially on our way to receiving placement of our son!

Monday we began the process of doing a "mega expedited home study" which will allow me (Sharon) to leave on Friday ( THIS FRIDAY) to go meet and be with him while we await the process of being able to return back to North Carolina with him. And yes the girls are THRILLED!

That being said since this is such a suddenly we have a financial need to help cover expenses. Travel cost is possibly the most urgent one. We had a remaining balance set aside from our unsuccessful placement a few years ago, and thankfully its been just enough to cover our expenses up to this point! Thank you Lord! The final costs of this adoption are still unknown and we will work diligently to apply for grants in the weeks to come. But we'd appreciate all the help we can get!

We are just in awe. Truly! Our hope and dream of another child has actually come true! God did it! A baby boy.

And so on Saturday morning I'll be able to hold that promise in my arms, look into his eyes and burst with love. We're actually on the other side of waiting for an impossible dream to come true. Our son is here.
