A life long resident family - The Stanleys received tragic news.

Jason Allen Stanley, age 48, of Axis, Alabama, passed away on October 25, 2025 in a tragic accident on US 43.

Born in Mobile, Alabama, and raised in Axis, Jason was a proud graduate of McGill-Toolen High School. As a young child, he began an apprenticeship alongside his father, learning the skills of a truck driver and mechanic—a foundation that led to a lifelong career in the trucking industry. Jason was known for being hard-working, dedicated, and dependable, taking great pride in every job he did and in helping others whenever he could. He worked for Dixie Drayage Service until June 2025, and most recently for Thompson Carriers, where he was respected and valued for his strong work ethic and professionalism.

Jason was a man who lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed hanging out with friends, playing darts, and scuba diving, and he cherished every opportunity to laugh, tell stories, and make memories with those around him. His easy smile and kind heart made him a friend to many and a constant source of support to those who knew him best.

Above all, Jason was a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Jordan Stanley, who was the light of his life. He is also survived by his loving mother, Carol Stanley; his sister, Michelle (William) Onderdonk; his sister-in-law, Theresa Stanley; and his nephew, Reid Onderdonk. He was preceded in death by his father, J. A. Stanley, and his brother, Shane Stanley.

A Celebration of Life held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1st, at Kirk House and Gardens, 11525 Highway 43, Axis, Alabama. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Jason’s life, laughter, and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a college fund established for his daughter, Jordan Stanley, on go fund me accounts set up or at Azalea City Credit Union in Mobile, so that Jason’s love and legacy will continue through her education and future.
