SUPPORT THE FUTURE OF FAIR TRADE IN FORT COLLINS
It's with the support of people like you, choosing to vote for a better world with your dollars, that we are working to break the cycle of poverty and ignite social change worldwide.
Our Ten Thousand Villages store has been fulfilling its Fair Trade mission in downtown Fort Collins for almost 25 years. During the pandemic years and the resulting social and economic disruptions, we did everything possible to keep our doors open. Although we have seen sales slowly improve, we are falling short of our goals. Our cash reserves have dipped dangerously low, and we fear we will have to close the store by June 2023 unless we can turn things around very quickly.
We have lowered costs by reducing staff and deferring new purchases. We have asked for a break on our rent. Now, we are turning to you to ask for a tax-deductible donation that will help the store survive through the end of the year when we hope to see another successful holiday season.
I am a board member for Ten Thousand Villages. Whether you are a shopper, volunteer, board member, or friend, I know you have already played a vital role in the store’s success. I appreciate all you have done in the past and sincerely hope you will be able to do just a bit more to keep the soul of Fair Trade in the heart of Old Town Fort Collins.
