Support the Friends of Dogwood Dell

Are you a lover of the arts and entertainment? Do you believe in supporting community programs that promote culture and creativity? If so, we need your help!

We are excited to announce that we plan to establish the Friends of Dogwood Dell as an independent 501c3 organization with its own board, in partnership with the City's Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities, Recreation Services. Our mission remains the same as it has been for the past two decades - to support, enhance, promote, and advocate for the programs of the Festival of Arts at Dogwood Dell.

However, we can't do this without your support.

We need your help to cover the fees involved in establishing the Friends of Dogwood Dell as an independent charitable group, and our goal is to raise $3,000. This will be the only time we solicit funds that will go towards administrative costs and not directly support the Festival of Arts programs and productions.

Dogwood Dell is a rare gem for the city of Richmond, offering a variety of free entertainment throughout the summer. Nestled in the dell of Byrd Park and adjacent to the Virginia WWI memorial Carillon, it provides an amphitheater environment with terraced levels and has a capacity of over 2,000 people. By supporting the Friends of Dogwood Dell, you can help ensure that this unique cultural venue continues to thrive and provide free entertainment for all.

The Friends of Dogwood Dell has been a charitable group since 2006, operating under the 501c3 umbrella of the EnRichmond Foundation. In mid-2021, they dissolved. We decided the best solution was to become independent and form our own 501c3.
