On August 6, 2025, tragedy struck Ghana when 16 children lost their lives in a devastating road accident. Sixteen small coffins lined up in a village that has since been drowned in grief. Behind each coffin stood a mother many of them poor widows who have not only lost their children, but also their only hope for the future.

These women have been left with nothing.

• No promises of long-term care.

• No support to cover school fees for the siblings left behind.

They were given silence, while elsewhere, funds were raised and legacies promised for the children of the elite.

We are raising this fund because no mother should have to bury a child and then face hunger, despair, and neglect alone. These widows need urgent support, food, housing, school fees for surviving children, and basic welfare to help them rebuild their lives.

Every cedi, every pound, every dollar given will go directly toward:

Covering school fees and educational support for siblings left behind

Providing basic food and healthcare relief for the widows

Offering grief and trauma counselling for affected families

Establishing a sustainable support system so they are not forgotten once the headlines fade
