Cliff and Kelli Foley are currently facing every parent’s worst nightmare. Their 13-year-old son, Noah Foley, was rushed to ARMC on Tuesday evening and later transferred to Duke Hospital. Noah has severe brain swelling and an infection in his spinal cord.
Last week Noah had two ticks removed from his body and is now fighting for his life. Noah has been almost completely unresponsive since they were at ARMC’s ER on Tuesday. However, last night and this morning Noah has been moving his legs when asked questions! This is a miracle in itself!
Duke has been phenomenal and is pursuing everything in their power to determine what is wrong with sweet Noah. They have ruled out a stroke and they are not even sure that he has meningitis, which was the original diagnosis. They are looking at 2 possibilities, A) infection or B) inflammation. In their words, “his own sweet little body is attacking that perfect little brain”.
While we do not have all the answers, we know that Noah is a fighter! Please keep the Foley’s, Cliff, Kelli, Noah, and his sister Kyndall, in your thoughts and prayers!
