A little about what we are currently doing with the community building:

We hold two weekly gatherings: Music Jam with Eric on Mondays and The Sycamore Salon (a community potluck and gathering night) on Thursdays

We host the fun and lively Ozark Wildskool on the first Saturday of every month

The building held a weekly yoga class last fall

Visitors are hosted in the guest room and loft

During our larger music events, the main room in the building serves as potluck central

The building also hosts an impressive and ever-growing library of fiction and non-fiction, and a variety of art supplies, musical instruments, and recording equipment. We use the studio and hangout space on a daily basis.

We have constructed this building over about a year, as funds have allowed, and now that it is nearing completion, we greatly enjoy offering this building as a community space! It has been well used, and it's time to put in a nice bathroom for folks!

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to complete the bathroom in this Flotsam Farm Community Building as well as support general operations and maintenance through the year.

The bathroom has water and electricity roughed into it, and we already have a recycled sink and shower base. We are fundraising for backer board, tile, and grout to tile the walls and shower enclosure. We will also build a sawdust toilet and storage cabinet, install vanity and ceiling lights, and a hot water heater to serve the guest shower, handwashing sink and community kitchen.
