Support the family of Theodore Nettleton
Donation protected
Craig and Chelsea Nettleton are expecting their third child any day now, but a few weeks ago were given news that would change their world: They were told that their oldest son, four-year -old Theodore, has Leukemia.
Theodore was hospitalized in January because of persistent pain in his leg. He was discharged, but the pain kept coming back. He was brought to the doctor after concerns about his general wellbeing became apparent – he was pale, tired, limping, and not as active as he used to be. On February 16th, what began as an appointment to get an MRI referral quickly became a whirlwind as it was discovered his x-ray had changed in the short 5 weeks since they last took images. The word cancer was brought up as they were shuttled across the street to be admitted. It was later confirmed that Theodore was suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or ALL.
Theo, as we call him, will be hospitalized for at least one month as he begins his chemotherapy treatments. He will require continued treatments for the next two to three years, both in the hospital and outpatient, as he begins his long road to remission and full recovery.
Theo is normally a very happy four-year-old with a very active imagination. He loves to play trains and cars with his younger brother, Sampson, and running around outside or exploring the woods. He loves singing, drawing, and practicing writing his letters and spelling words. The family love reading books together and the occasional tickle fight. ☺
We decided to create this space to help support Theo and his family with the many miscellaneous expenses, lost income, and medical bills that may not be covered. While they are optimistic to finally discover what has been making poor Theo unwell, they do not know what to expect in the years to come. They are grateful for the support.
If you are unable to donate at this time, would you please share this with your friends.
Thank you.
