On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Trenton Police Department lost Police Officer Franky Guzman Sr. The fifteen-year officer of the Trenton Police Department passed away unexpectedly after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, and was a dedicated, compassionate, and empathetic son, husband, father, friend, and police officer. He graduated from the Trenton Police Department Academy Class of '99.
Franky was a proud father and husband who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was sharing a laugh with his children, supporting his loved ones, or simply enjoying a good piece of humor and having his favorite foods. His warmth, intelligence, and humor will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
He is survived by his parents, Salustiano Guzman and Elaine Roush. He leaves behind his wife of five years, Jacqueline Guzman (DeLeon), and his children, Aniya Guzman, Franky Guzman Jr., Christina Rosario, Nicole Acevedo, and Yanelly DeLeon. His fur babies, Nayla, Milo, and Willow, will also miss him dearly.
All proceeds will go directly to the family of Police Officer Franky Guzman Sr.
Thank you,
Trenton Police Benevolent Association, Local #11.
