Longtime Cameron Park Barber, Greg Sanchez, succumbed to cancer in August 2024. Greg is survived by his wife, Trisha and a young school age daughter Abigail. Greg was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area . He learned barbering from his father, a master barber, himself in Palo Alto , CA. Greg served in the United States Navy as a firefighter aboard the USS Vulcan. He established Cameron Park Barbershop in 2003 . It quickly became the "go-to" barbershop in town for those looking for old school barbering and banter. Greg was an avid golfer and fisherman as well as dedicated husband and father. He suffered from liver disease and ultimately cancer which took him far too young at 57.
His wife is a longtime school teacher and unfortunately Greg was ineligible for life insurance due to his pre existing disease, perhaps caused by his exposure to firefighting chemicals in the Navy. Greg has been my personal barber since he opened his shop in Cameron Park and became a very close friend. His wife and daughter have some large outstanding bills and we are trying to help them recover from their tragic loss with as little monetary stress as possible. If you want to learn more about Greg and his family and how you can help please reach out to me. Thank you for your support.
