This past weekend, our family’s world was turned upside down by a tragic head-on collision that has left our loved ones facing serious injuries, emotional trauma, and overwhelming financial stress.
Dawn Goodwin, a devoted mother, suffered a stroke just last week. As she was still recovering, this accident caused further severe injuries, including a broken clavicle, multiple fractures throughout her body, and blood in her lungs. She now faces a long and difficult healing process, requiring ongoing medical care and support.
Stuart Dundas, son of Dawn and brother to Lawrence Dundas and Susie Goodwin Hemming, was also critically injured in the collision. Stuart sustained broken hips, ribs, multiple spinal fractures, and a broken leg, and he will require multiple surgeries. His recovery will be long and challenging, involving extensive physical therapy and rehabilitation. Due to the severity of his injuries, Stuart will be unable to work for the foreseeable future.
As the family focuses on healing and recovery, the financial burden will continue to grow. Medical bills, rehabilitation, lost income, and everyday living expenses are quickly adding up. The stress of navigating these costs while coping with pain and uncertainty is more than any family should have to face alone.
We are raising funds to help ease this burden so Dawn and Stuart can focus on what matters most—healing, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Every donation, no matter the size, will help cover day to day expenses, rehabilitation costs, and basic living needs during this incredibly difficult time.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers means more than we can express.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support during this unimaginable time.
