Support The Doula Team: Stacey and Diksha

Were you blessed to have a midwife and/or doula during your child’s birth? Do you remember their loving encouragement when you wanted to give up? Do you remember how their unwavering support continued even after the birth when everyone was exhausted? We do. When our two boys were born, we were beyond elated- it was one of the most life-transforming experiences. And we’ll never forget the generous love and support of two extraordinary women: Stacey Callaghan and Diksha Berebitsky.

Now, Stacey and Diksha are filling a much-needed gap in service and THEY need OUR help. They have created a new small business, “The Doula Team” to provide exceptional training and mentoring to Doulas, and to provide a referral Doula service to enhance birthing support for families. For both of our sons, Stacey was our midwife and Diksha provided post-partum support—and their care and attention were instrumental to our family’s health and well-being. If we could clone them for other families- we would! The Doula Team gets us close to doing that!

About Stacey, Diksha and Their Legacy

Stacey Callaghan has 29 years of experience in the birthing community. She is a Mother, Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife, Birth and Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Sibling Preparation Educator, and Lactation Educator. She loves the mountains, the deep forests, stars in the open night skies, and water in all of its forms. Diksha Berebitsky has 16 years of experience in the birthing community. She is a Birth Doula, Professional Birth Photographer, Infant Massage Instructor, Body Ready Method Pro, Body Ready Birth Teacher, Lactation Educator, Childbirth Educator, and Placenta Specialist. Diksha also loves crafting herbal postpartum products for mothers and babies.

Diksha and Stacey are passionate about their profession and have accumulated an immense treasure of knowledge. They know the Olympia families, providers, and available resources. Both recognize that our community needs more well trained Doulas who will be able to support families through the childbearing years. They have combined their strengths to create The Doula Team LLC. The benefit that The Doula Team offers Olympia is twofold. Their vision is to provide training and education to elevate the Doula community while providing parents with a trusted Doula referral service. Both Doulas and families will have the mentoring that they need to be successful. It is Stacey’s and Diksha’s greatest joy and honor to take the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy for families and Doulas.

What does the Doula Team LLC provide

The Doula Team knows our community and its needs. We provide excellent care for the Doulas we have trained to a top-notch level. We utilize our local providers to broaden our reach. We are inclusive, safe, and welcoming to all families and Doulas. We offer comprehensive support and expertise of the childbearing years. We are training our Doulas ourselves, staying in contact with providers, asking for feedback, offering continuing education, and close private and group mentorship. We are working on a model where Doulas team up and support each other in ways such as tag teaming during long births allowing them to have a sustainable business and personal life.

The Doula Team is creating a sustainable career path for Doulas in our area. We provide quality education, mentorship, certification, continuing education, business support, and a professional referral service to Doulas. We provide local families a dependable space to find the best Doula for their unique family needs. Our Family Support Groups are open to all families that use our referral system. We offer educational workshops throughout the year to ensure that the entire community has an opportunity to explore the more vital aspects of birthing and parenting. Our holistic team approach allows us to elevate the skill of Doulas while simultaneously providing families with a choice of top notch Doulas and trustworthy respectful information.
