Hello friends,

We are the Darling family - Sam, Alyssa, Avery and Wilder - and we are making this post after deep internal turmoil and a lot of pushing our pride aside.

In April 2025, I (Sam) lost my job of 3.5 years due to cutbacks at my company. I spent all my time thereafter applying to any job I could that would help keep us afloat. We had a small savings that was gone in a matter of a month and had been playing catchup ever since.

In September I was finally offered a role that was to be remote until the sale of our home in NC in which we would then need us to move to NY. Unfortunately, on New Years Eve 2025 the company decided they could no longer keep me remote and decided to lay me off.

The job I had was helping to keep us afloat, but in the end we struggled to even make it to each paycheck. Now without that job we are on the verge of bankruptcy.

We do not take lightly the fact that this is a hard time for everyone right now and again we are pushing pride aside for the sake of our kids most of all. Alyssa is working to make whatever she can and while I’m home with the kids I’m doing the same and applying for long term, full time work.

This money will not only help us with monthly bills while we get our feet back on the ground but will also help us try to get out of our home quicker in hopes of lowering cost there.

Any and all help is so greatly appreciated and from the bottom of our hearts means the absolute world to us. We hope to pay it forward when we are back on solid ground again ❤️
