Support the Daniels Family #SummerStrong

We are asking for your prayers and support for the Daniels family.

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, their daughter Summer suffered a brain bleed on the left side while attending James Madison University as a junior. The bleed was caused by an arteriovenous malformation (AVM). In plain words, she has vessels that were tangled in her brain and they ruptured. This caused her to lose function on the right side of her body and also lose the ability to speak. She was flown to the neuro ICU at UVA Medical Hospital and is currently awaiting transfer to a rehabilitation facility where she will continue to work toward her recovery with intensive therapies and medical care.

She is starting to regain some movement, but has a long road to recovery which is estimated to be between 6 months to a year. Summer currently has a feeding tube and her mother has shared that that is her #1 goal to get it removed.

Current needs for the family include travel and lodging expenses at this stage of supporting Summer.. Future needs for the family include therapies, medical expenses, and possible home modifications. The money will help lessen the financial burden during Summer’s current treatments and allow the family to plan for the future.
