We are the OC Wild Geese, an Orange County GAA club dedicated to promoting and competing in Gaelic games. This year, we are organizing the first annual Damien O’Brien Memorial Tournament in honor of our dear friend and teammate. Damien meant so much to our club, not only as a player and committee member, but as a friend, a leader, and someone who brought people together. This tournament is our way of celebrating his life, his spirit, and the lasting impact he had on all of us.

Because this memorial tournament was not originally part of our annual plans, we are seeking support to help cover event-specific costs that fall outside our normal club budget, including field rentals, permits, equipment, officials, memorial tributes, and event-day logistics.

Our goal is to host a tournament that properly honors Damien’s memory and creates a meaningful experience for his family, friends, teammates, and the wider GAA and Irish community.

Any funds raised beyond the cost of hosting the tournament will be fully reinvested into the OC Wild Geese to support future tournaments, youth development, club development, and community events. Transparency and honoring his legacy are incredibly important to us.
