The Dallas Black Queer Collective (DBQC) officially launched in February 2024 with the mission of creating a safe and empowering space for black queer folks located in Dallas.

Since our launch we have grown tremendously and have been able to host a number of free and low cost events for the black queer community. In order to keep our events free and/or low cost we have to minimize our out of pocket costs and so far have been making the most of resources provided by the city of Dallas as well as partnerships with other organizations who align with our mission. However, there are costs (ie paying for certain venues, materials for events, etc) that we simply cannot avoid and are increasing as our organization increases in both attendance and amount of events. With that being said, we are hoping to raise enough funds to help us continue programming for the community for the rest of this year and next.

DBQC has proven to be an organization that truly focuses on building community and serves as a space where black queer folks can come connect and feel as though they belong. We appreciate each and every one of you for giving to our cause.
