Little did they know, early in the morning on February 4th, the Dabkowski family's livelihood was going to change. They were fortunate enough to be woken by their lab at 2:30 am to frantic barking. When they looked outside, they saw their barn engulfed in flames. Rushing to try and save the lives of their animals caught in the fire, they were unfortunately not able to save them due to how quickly the fire spread and the integrity of the building was not safe to enter. With the help of several fire departments, they were able to get the fire out, but sadly they lost everything inside.

Life has changed for them now as they lost all their animal feed, hay, buckets, tractor, side by side, plow, gardening supplies, hoses, fencing supplies, tools, outdoor equipment, their hunting, fishing, and camping gear. The children lost their bikes, toy cars, outdoor toys and so much more.

The most tragic loss was the loss of their animals, which included chickens, rabbits, and a baby pig they had gotten their kids for Christmas. Their daily routine of feeding and caring for the animals has been disrupted, and their children are saddened by not being able to visit their friends and collect the eggs. Thankfully, the Dabkowski's house did not receive any damage, and their goats were out in the pasture away from the barn.

The Dabkowski's are wonderful people and go out of their way to help so many people. They loved those animals and are missing their animals dearly. They are missing their daily routine and would love to get back to some semblance of normalcy, especially for their little ones.
