Support the Crockett Family and Their Newborn Son
Donation protected
Greetings and many blessings. My name is Stanley and I'm here on behalf of my family including my lovely wife and our beautiful newborn son.
We have been on a journey these last few months that have put us through some storms we are still continuously trying to recover from. Our son was born 9 weeks and a day early, With him being so eager to greet his family, we took my bonding leave for 10 weeks to make sure that we had ample time to not only travel back-and-forth from the NICU for over a month, But to support my wife during this very emotional time.
During this time period, I had 8 weeks of leave That was provided by the state and two weeks of leave provided by my employer. The state
I noticed had not paid me for quite some time since starting the claim which became concerning as we still had financial responsibilities such as rent, food, power, water, etc.
After literally 94 calls to get ahold of someone from the state, I was notified that my earnings for my benefits were being garnished. Apparently There was a judgment in 2015 that they overpaid me during unemployment time. I was never notified of this or notified that they were garnishing my wages, I didn't find out until I finally talked to a representative.
They withheld the first 6 weeks of my pay before finally releasing some funds. By then we had already exhausted our savings and fell behind on every major bill you could think of.
We suffered from power shut offs, water shutoff, food shortages, and currently trying to prevent even worse scenarios such as vehicle repo and eviction. Thank God we had some family that was able to help us get power back on.
Currently we have returned to work but have fallen so far behind that even with borrowing we can't get back on track as that creates more holes to climb out of. We have no programs such as HEAP, REACH, ERA that can assist since our household income when working is above minimum threshold. Currently my 401k and insurance is not allowing withdrawals. We have tried every avenue possible.
With a newborn at home we cannot afford to be without power, without water, without transportation or worse, without a home.
At this time we are asking for any help you are able to provide so that our family can get back on track and continue to stay focused on the growth and development of our beautiful baby boy. We thank you and are extremely grateful of your grace during these challenging times.
If you are able to provide assistance I would ask that you send funds through either Zelle or Venmo as we want to try and avoid as many fees as possible while expediting transfers.
