Greetings, Cleveland Club Members:
The Club has been running on a slim margin. As you all know, the Club charges no dues, and it does not accept corporate sponsorships. All of the effort to sustain the Club is by volunteer effort.
Annual costs to sustain the Club now are in excess of $200, nearly all of these expenses going to web hosting, which have been rising annually.
We have not asked for donations since 2021, four years ago.
Accordingly, we are alerting the membership to the need to restock our coffers so that we may operate dues-free for the next several years.
The Club will happily receive contributions.
Note that the Club is not incorporated and is not a 501c3 (we have often considered becoming such but thought it not worth the time, trouble and annual filing expenses); so contributions are not tax-deductible.
Please help to continue the esteemed tradition of The Cleveland Club of Washington, D.C.
A warm and sincere Thank You to persons who contribute to sustaining the Cleveland Club’s tradition of non-partisan civic education and fellowship in the national capital region.
Brooke C. Stoddard, president of the Cleveland Club of Washington, D.C.
