Hello all!

My name is Benedict Anwukah.

My full, extended family has spent the last 1.5 years relocating, sheltering, assisting, and constructing homes for surviving relatives and family friends affected by a domestic terror attack in the towns of Bokkos and Jos in Plateau State, Nigeria, dating back to the December 2023-February 2024 time period, specifically Christmas. It was part of a longstanding territorial issue that unfortunately reached some of our loved ones.

While we have thankfully received so much restorative, mobilized support since then, there are still several projects that are far from completion. That includes new homes built for those affected that will not be completed until February 2026. As the holidays are approaching, many of these families are still in the Plateau area without a stable living situation.

Currently, I am tasked with covering the roundtrip flight for the Chukwuma Family, a family of six, from Plateau, Nigeria to Houston, TX for the upcoming holidays (from Thanksgiving until the end of January) as a time for them to comfortably be away from the country due to the fact that they still deal with tension in the incident’s aftermath. They will be hosted by my Uncle & Aunt, Greg and Caroline Chukwu.

Since starting my career back in 2021, this is a type of responsibility that I knew I would take on. Up until now, providing aid for family and friends back home had been no issue, but this specific mission was certainly one that I knew I could not take on alone.

My $750 goal reflects the remaining cost needed for me to cover expenses for their travel. Your support would be deeply appreciated!
