On Oct 12 we, the owners, posted a detailed account of how things are going at our Café, and how COVID-19 has affected business for us these past months.

The community's respond to our account was overwhelming, and we were amazed at how many people came forward to offer their help in any way they could.
One of the repeated requests of the people responding was for us to set up a fundraiser/gofundme/drive of some sort so they could start donating to help us stay afloat.
We've always been nervous about doing one of these, we're a business, and we felt that we should offer some sort of good or service for people's money and support, but enough people asked us to make this happen, so we're starting this drive to help support us as COVID-19 continues to make operating a restaurant difficult.
We wanted to focus this drive on helping us with the most important aspect of our business: Our staff. We believe that without our amazing staff we wouldn't be able to make this space the beloved community gathering place it is.
So we're dedicating all the money we receive in this Gofundme to pay our payroll costs for the weeks going forward. Whatever amount it is will help us pay our staff for their hard work.
With the current hours we're open and the staffing levels we need we've calculated our payrolls costs to be roughly $10,000 per month, so we've set our goal at 1 month of payroll. If we make our goal, we'll pay all of it toward the payroll costs of the Castle for the next month.
Any money we make above and beyond our goal will continue to fund our payroll costs for each consecutive month.
We've already been blown away by our community and the support and love they've poured out. Thank you everyone for what you've done for us. We are so grateful.
