The Calvert Street Loop is a hyper-local newspaper that captures the small stories and big joys of our neighborhood. In just two quarterly editions, it’s earned enthusiastic praise from neighbors and even a nod from famed outlets like Popville (never mind the Washington Post). What matters most to its creators isn’t hyper-local fame, but seeing our neighborhood’s voice in print — and how each issue brings us closer together.
Printing each edition costs at least $500 to reach (most of) the Loop. We launched thanks to a generous neighbor’s gift and a grant from the Awesome Foundation — but without new support, this fall issue could be our last.
We’d love to keep this project going. Your donation — whether $10 or $100 — will go directly toward printing and distributing future editions. Your donation will make sure the Loop keeps looping, issue after issue.
