Support the Burt Family After Eaton Fire

My name is Julie (Burt) Thayer. My sister Kelley and I are raising support for our parents, Chris and Glenda Burt, who tragically lost their home to the Eaton Fire on January 7th, 2025.

Chris and Glenda have loved and cared for this home for over 30 years. This home has been the source of so much love, lots of laughter, and beautiful memories with friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors. Kelley and I were both raised here and have deep, fond memories of our grandparents there as well. Due to the nature of the evacuation and the swift exit our family had to make, many things were left behind.

This loss is unimaginable to our entire family, and we will be using these funds to assist with urgent and immediate necessities—food, clothing, pet needs, and medications. These funds will also support the long commute Chris and Glenda have to make in order to continue working, and any unanticipated challenges that arise for our family.

We want more than anything to give Chris and Glenda a foundation to start over with and have something to give them to ease the burden of this unbelievable loss.

We are so grateful our family is together and safe. Everyone is currently staying at my home, close to 2 hours away from Altadena. While the unknown of the future feels extremely overwhelming, we are so grateful to be alive and be together.
