Hello everyone, my name is Diamond Buchanan.

I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my family—my mother, stepfather, uncle, and my little brother—who tragically lost everything in a house fire on November 24, 2025, on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

As far as we know, the fire started while my uncle and my little brother were home. My uncle has been staying with my mom because he recently had open-heart surgery. They were inside when they began to smell smoke and assumed someone might be burning something in the yard. When my brother opened the door to check, the fire was already at his feet, spreading rapidly. He immediately rushed to help my uncle evacuate.

My mother and stepfather were at work during this disaster and were unable to return in time to save anything.

Now, my family is left with no home, no clothes, no food, and no belongings.

They are facing homelessness and the overwhelming challenge of trying to rebuild their lives from nothing.
