~~ BROWN COMMITS TO DIVESTMENT VOTE! The Brown administration has conceded to students’ demand that the Corporation vote on divestment after years of tireless pressure from the student body, 61 student arrests, an eight day hunger strike and seven days of encampment. We are so endlessly thankful to all who contributed funds, food, and supplies. This GoFundMe has been paused as we settle all outstanding reimbursements. ~~

The Brown Divest Coalition stands in solidarity with Palestine as we reach day SEVEN of our Gaza solidarity encampment.

We demand that Brown divests its endowment from all companies enabling and profiting from the genocide in Gaza and the broader Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory. President Christina Paxson must permit representatives from the Brown Divest Coalition to present the case for divestment at the May meeting of the Brown University Corporation.

We also demand that Brown University drop charges against the 41 student activists it arrested in December, and that it stops using the criminal justice system and university disciplinary processes to penalize student protest.

Proceeds of this fundraiser will go to food for our 120+ encampers, supplies such as tents and sleeping bags, and legal aid!
