Support the Brennans in Recovering from Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
My parents, Michael and Mary Lou Brennan, live in Mountain City, Tennessee, and were unexpectedly ROCKED by Hurricane Helene. As a structure, their house survived the storm, but they are without power and without water for the foreseeable future. Being such a small town in Eastern TN, there are minimal resources making their way to support them. They have massive damage to their quarter-mile-long driveway and many, many trees down. With the help of some amazing neighbors, they were able to clear a path to get out of their home and into town, but the town was also destroyed. Many businesses were flooded, and a few buildings even washed away. They are looking at extensive repairs to their property and struggling without the resources to do so. The main interstates and back roads to leave Mountain City have either completely eroded, washed out, or are of questionable safety to leave Mountain City. They also have their poor sweet dog, Bailey, and cat, Whiskey, to keep safe. Please send prayers as they navigate these trying circumstances. They have been able to shower occasionally at the local elementary school and get a hot meal when available through donations and flown-in assistance. If anyone is able to help them specifically with buying a chainsaw to clear their property and do repairs so that it is more livable, I would be eternally grateful.
Thank you and bless you!
