My dearest friend, Lauren Bertagnolli, has experienced a life-changing tragedy that no one should ever have to endure.

A recent house fire destroyed the Bertagnolli’s home in Independence, Missouri on 1/28/26, taking everything from them. They lost their beautiful home, all of their belongings, and—most heartbreakingly—multiple beloved pets who they loved every second of the day and were given the best lives.

Lauren and Jules have been married since 2018, and in one unimaginable moment they lost their clothes, food and water, furniture, irreplaceable sentimental items, and the new home they were building a new life together. The grief of losing their furry family members is beyond words.
