Long after classrooms are left behind, some schools continue to speak through the lives they shaped.

Baguio City National High School (BCNHS), founded in 1916, is one such institution. Rooted in a city shaped by its mountains, indigenous culture, civic life, and a deep tradition of learning and innovation, BCNHS has for more than a century formed generations of students whose lives would go on to shape communities far beyond the school grounds.

What was learned in its classrooms did not end at graduation. It traveled with us, taking shape in lives of service, leadership, and contribution.

From BCNHS have come builders and pioneers, educators and healers, academics and scientists, lawyers and advocates, public servants and professionals, artists and creators, innovators and leaders.

These paths reflect the enduring influence of a school whose history is closely woven into the life of Baguio itself.

The Grand Alumni Homecoming is an annual tradition that brings alumni back to a shared beginning, not simply to revisit the past, but to renew bonds, affirm shared values, and carry forward a common story. In 2026, the homecoming will be held on May 1–2, 2026, gathering the BCNHS community in a spirit of continuity, gratitude, and belonging.

For this year, Batch 2001, marking its Silver Anniversary, is honored to serve as host.

This GoFundMe is set up as a convenient option, especially for alumni and friends abroad, to support the 2026 Grand Alumni Homecoming and longer-term alumni initiatives, including the Balay it Alumni. Funds raised will be turned over to the official organizing committee spearheaded by Sheila DeCastro and coordinated with BCNHS Alumni President, Ma’am Sonia Daoas.

Participation is entirely voluntary and welcome according to one’s comfort and means. This effort reflects shared stewardship of a tradition that belongs to the BCNHS community as a whole.
