The Austin Northern Surgical Association (ANSA) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the surgical community across the Austin and Northern Health networks.

We’re made up of trainees, fellows, and consultants who share a simple goal: to foster education, well-being, and connection among surgeons at every stage of training.

Throughout the year, ANSA organises a range of activities from teaching sessions and interview preparation programs, to wellbeing initiatives and social events that bring our community together outside the hospital.

Our biggest event, Gratias Cena, is an annual celebration that recognises the incredible hard work of our registrars and HMOs, the guidance and generosity of our fellows and consultants, and the friendships that keep our network strong. It’s also an opportunity to raise funds to sustain and expand our educational and wellbeing programs for the year ahead.
