Hi, my name is Ryan Reyes — I’m a student, coach, and proud Filipino. This July, I’m returning to the Philippines for a special mission close to my heart: The Assist Project.

Basketball is more than a sport in the Philippines — it’s a way of life. But many young, passionate athletes in underserved communities can’t afford basic equipment like shoes, basketballs, or jerseys. As a coach of a local 10U Filipino-American team in Jersey City, I’ve seen what this game can bring: joy, confidence, purpose — hope.

Through The Assist Project, I want to give back to the motherland by donating gear and sharing inspiration with the next generation of athletes who dream of one day playing like their kuyas and ates.

As a college student, I can only do so much on my own. That’s why I’m asking for your support. Any donation — big or small — will help us provide the tools and encouragement these kids need. Every dollar raised will go directly toward basketballs, shoes, apparel, and equipment for youth in need.
