Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We are so excited to share a huge milestone with you — our youth community theatre has been approved to purchase its very own performing arts space right here in Ecorse/Lincoln Park. This isn’t just about a brick and mortar building; it’s about creating a home where creativity, hope, and opportunity can grow.
Like many before us, we started in found spaces — church basements, classrooms, even parking lots. Having a space to call our own is a dream come true, but it’s more than that. It’s a place where our kids can build confidence, discover their voices, and feel seen and valued. It’s a place where stories from every part of our community — stories that often go unheard — can take center stage.
This theatre is for all of us. It’s a space where young people can learn and grow, but it’s also a place where local artists, teachers, and neighbors can come together to share skills, inspire each other, and strengthen the fabric of our community. When the arts thrive, we all thrive — through connection, expression, and celebration of our shared humanity.
Right now, we’re facing some unexpected challenges — the air conditioning went out just as summer is coming on strong, along with a few other repairs needed before we can fully open. We’re reaching out because this is truly a community effort. To make this space a safe, welcoming home for our youth and artists, we need your help.
Every voice, every hand, every dollar brings us closer to a future where all people, young and old, can experience the power of the arts. Your support means so much — not just for the theatre, but for the whole community.
Together, we can build more than a theatre. We can build a place of belonging, growth, and hope — a place that belongs to all of us.
Thank you for believing in this dream and being part of our community’s story.
With gratitude and hope,
Ash & Val
