We’re the Arnprior Skateboard Association (ASA)
While our ultimate goal is 50k, we've set our sites on 12k to start since every dollar counts!

Since 2020 the volunteer board of the ASA has worked to promote skateboarding, teach youth and raise funds for the Arnprior Skatepark.
What we’ve accomplished
- raised over 20k
- built over 15 ramps for public use
- purchased 15+ sets of skateboards, helmets and pads to make the program accessible
- Taught hundreds of youth through our free pop up lessons and programming
- hosted free events
- collaborated with town to assist where needed on the project
We're a registered non-profit dedicated to growing the love of skateboarding and building community through accessible, positive programming.
Formed in 2020, the ASA began hosting lessons and events at Arnprior’s Rink of Dreams, with a vision to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space for local youth.
Since then, our team of volunteers has built ramps, expanded programming, and developed structured lessons that now see both of our time slots fill up with 30 students each (60 skaters total) every session we offer.
Over the past few years, we’ve proudly:
- Hosted free skateboarding lessons for kids and teens of all skill levels
- Run community events with snacks, pizza, and prizes to keep things fun and welcoming
- Purchased boards, pads, and helmets so every participant can learn safely and without initial investment
- Worked closely with the Town of Arnprior to secure insurance, develop and improve our programming
- Contributed countless volunteer hours building ramps, organizing events and coaching the youth
All of this has been driven by one shared dream, to help bring an amazing permanent concrete skatepark to Arnprior.
That dream is now within reach.
The Town of Arnprior has secured $300,000 in core funding, with construction planned for Spring 2026.
Now, the Arnprior Skateboard Association is stepping up to raise additional funds as community portion to make this park the best it can be. With the goal of it being designed for all ages, abilities, and styles, built with creativity and local pride.
We’ve seen firsthand how skateboarding transforms community. Session after session, we’ve watched these young boys and girls improve, gain confidence and encourage one another.
Skateboarding teaches resilience, focus, and self-expression and it’s one of the most accessible sports a small town can offer.
Every contribution helps us bring this park to life and leaves a lasting mark on Arnprior.
