Support the Arhuaco Mission- Guarding the Heart of the Earth

THE MISSION:
It is clear that the people of the world are waking up to our modern disconnection from nature and spirit. The Arhuacos, who are the gatekeepers of the Heart of the World and the largest indigenous tribe of the Sierra Nevadas of Colombia, have patiently known and warned about this for generations. Recently, progressive Colombian President Gustavo Petro delivered an address to the international community about his intention to limit commercial and illegal mining and ecological destruction of the Sierras, while supporting the Arhuacos in their mission to protect it. With this newfound support, the Arhuacos feel an important opportunity and a sense of urgency they haven’t felt before. We call on the modernized people of planet Earth (Little Brother) to help raise money to build momentum to support the Arhuacos (Big Brother) in purchasing sacred sites and planting native trees around the Sierra Nevadas, so they can continue on their mission of protecting nature, serving as wisdom keepers of humanity, and safeguarding the Heart of planet Earth.
No amount is too big or too small in this mission to protect the future of this people, culture and land. They are one of the last intact indigenous tribes in the world and hold wisdom that is incredible and essential. As the spiritual protectors and interpreters of nature, money is not naturally part of their culture, as their lifestyle revolves around things that are not profitable to the Western world. They see beyond the material world, which gives them great insight into how seemingly disconnected events and places around the world are energetically connected- how a heart pumps blood to the brain and the feet to think and walk, so too does the Sierra Nevada provide the pulse which nourishes the rest of the world. Their message is "Peace with nature, Peace for the world", and they are on a mission to save this planet. They know what to do- they just need resources.
Our short-term goal is $40,000 (150,000,000 COP) to provide them with the tools, legal team, ability to travel, and resources to allow their leaders (known as Mamos) to initiate a massive tribal meeting among all the Arhuacos of the mountain for the first time in recent history, and begin the communal process of buying land. A separate and government-backed campaign with the ultimate goal of $250,000 will then occur to buy several sacred sites and communal lands around the Sierra Nevada within this coming year before President Gustavo Petro leaves office and the Arhuacos no longer have the support of his progressive policies.
All funds will go directly to them, every dollar counts, and even if you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to us and them. It is imperative for this message to reach a global audience. Thank you so much for your support during this momentous and impactful time!
WHO WE ARE:
Michael and Ashte are two passionate advocates dedicated to empowering indigenous communities in Colombia as they reclaim their ancestral lands. Michael, an ecologist and farmer in the region, has built strong partnerships with indigenous leaders, supporting their mission to restore land stewardship and protect sacred traditions. Ashte, his partner, brings her deep spiritual wisdom and cultural leadership to the cause. In October, Michael and Ashte met with political Mamo Bunkwaney (Juan Carlos) in a powerful way, which catalyzed conjoined efforts to build a bridge across cultures.
In January, this sacred mission deepened as Teffa Honan, Chris Honan, and Pachamama Munai joined forces with Michael and Ashte in support of the Arhuaco people. Rooted in Colombia and devoted to spiritual and ecological stewardship, they felt a profound resonance with the Mamos’ vision. Now walking together in service to this movement, they are helping amplify Indigenous voices, protect sacred lands, and mobilise global support. This alliance serves as a powerful bridge—uniting ancestral wisdom and modern resources to protect the Heart of the World and honor the Arhuacos’ mission to bring "Peace with Nature, Peace for the Planet".
