Support the Appalachian Renaissance Faire

Calling all lords, ladies, mountaineers, townsfolk and travelers!

Our beloved Duchess and Duke have great need of you …

While we have had to postpone our beloved event this year – our patrons, cast, vendors, and entertainers mean so much to us, and your safety is top priority   – we are celebrating all the same with a virtual event … and just as important—we’re planning for our return next year.

The Duke and Duchess have big plans already. With the plague defeated, there’s more intrigue and adventure afoot in the duchy, ready to unfold next season amid Appalachian arts, handmade crafts, music, costumes, mystery and jousting.

As you join us in this virtual format and raise a glass of your favorite faire drink with us, we also invite you to give life to next year’s celebration.

So many have asked how to help … and here is your chance!

If you are so inclined, please support ARF by donating the cost of a weekend pass ($20). While we’re already planning for the next year, we are still navigating the lost revenue challenges of 2020.  Any amount you can donate today will help ensure that the Appalachian Renaissance Faire can continue, celebrating the combination of history and art with all of you and passing along uniquely Appalachian history and craft for years to come.

Your donation will go directly to ensuring our faire has a space and the means to hold all of our events.

In the meantime, we call on our community … our subjects, our lords, our ladies, our entertainers, townsfolk and travelers … let us do what us Appalachians do best:

Roll with the changes, push through and come back out on the other side bigger, better and shouting …

What is a Virtual Faire?

A plague is on all of our houses this year! But that doesn’t mean we all can’t still enjoy the revelry of our favorite renaissance faires, including the Appalachian Renaissance Faire. We will be hosting several entertainers through a “passing of the link” on YouTube. Much like you visit different stages on our grounds, you will be provided with the YouTube link to visit the next “stage” for our entertainers! The links to the next “stage” will be provided at the bottom of each entertainer’s YouTube description so you can easily get to the next act—even faster than walking across the grounds to another stage!

ARF’s Virtual Faire is free to attend, though your donation is much like the “gate” at our faire. While it’s not required, your patronage is not only always appreciated, but also immensely helpful in keeping ARF running.
