Each year, the Town Mayor of Calne selects local groups and charities to support through their fundraising efforts. Funds are raised through retiring collections, events and generous donations from local residents. These funds are then distributed to the chosen charities and groups, forming a lasting legacy of the Mayor’s year in office.
The Town Mayor is elected annually in May.
The Town Mayor 2026-2027 - Cllr Havenith is raising funds for Calne Heritage Centre and Calne Men's Shed.
Calne Heritage Centre Trust - Charity number: 1107321 - Opened by the Earl of Kerry on 5 October, 2004. The Centre has been created and is managed by the voluntary work of the Trustees and is staffed by volunteers provided by the Friends of the Centre.
Calne Men's Shed (Charity number: 1173448) is part of the international Men's Shed movement aimed at providing a place where men /women of all races, creeds etc can meet for social and practical activities. We aim to have a range of workshop facilities and provide training and mentoring.
