For decades, the Andrew family and their business, Tyre Trak, have been a cornerstone of the Springfield community. Started by the well-respected veteran Tim Andrew, this full-service automotive shop on the corner of Chestnut and Worthington was more than a business—it was a second home for countless people.
Tim's commitment to our city was unwavering. After a devastating gas explosion and tornado destroyed the building, he personally rebuilt and improved the shop. That resilience and dedication are the heart of Tyre Trak's legacy. After Tim's passing in May 2023, his children, Harley and Sarah, stepped up to continue his work, carrying on the family tradition of kindness and honesty.
Now, due to the landlord selling the property suddenly without warning, the Andrew family is being forced to close their doors this week and move everything out in a matter of months. The financial and emotional toll is immense. Sarah and Harley are facing overwhelming costs for legal fees, moving expenses, and living bills. They are also in a race against time to save their father's priceless tools and equipment, which would become the property of the new owner if they can't be moved. We cannot let that happen.
The Andrew family has always been there for our community, treating everyone like family. Now, it's our turn to be there for them.
This fund will go directly to the Andrew family to help them navigate this impossible transition. It will cover urgent expenses, including:
- Urgent moving costs to save Tim Andrew's tools and equipment.
- Lawyer fees, taxes, and other piling legal bills.
- Essential utilities like water, electric, gas, and phone bills.
- Trash and removal costs to clear the shop.
Please help us honor the legacy of Tim Andrew and the family that has given so much to our community. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a direct impact and help ease the immense burden they are carrying.
Thank you for being part of the Tyre Trak family.
