Chris lived a life marked by assertiveness, compassion, and a genuine love for his family, his students, his community, and the Lord. Many of you supported him through his treatments and the long fight for his earthly life. We will never be able to express our gratitude for each person who stood by him—and by us—through those trials and now as we walk through this transition after his homegoing.

There are also individuals who desire to continue the legacy Chris began—his ministry of encouraging others in the Lord and walking with people through hardship and health battles. Chris is not gone; he is alive and well in the presence of Jesus, waiting on our arrival. We will continue the work he began, strengthened by the example he set. He faced his journey with courage and faith, and he put his hand to the plow as much as he could, even through pain and disease.
